Current Quality of each of the Modes of Transportation
In your opinion what will be the three (3) MOST significant transportation challenges in our region in the next 25 years?
1. Lack of choices in destinations served 2. Aging and deteriorating infrastructure3. Reliability of our public transportation system4. Rising transportation costs 5. Increasing distance we have to travel 6. Increasing truck traffic on our highways7. Development patterns8. Travel needs for the elderly and disabled9. Safety10. Lack of parking 11. Increased traffic/congestion/delay

Name any specific areas you avoid due to concerns with traffic congestion.
• 17th Street & Hitt Rd• Woodruff & 17th Street• Hitt Rd-Target/Albertsons• Hitt Rd & Lincoln Rd• Ammon Rd & 1st Street• South Boulevard• I-15 & Broadway• Yellowstone Hwy• 17th Street
• 1st Street• Roundabouts• Lincoln Rd & Ammon Rd• Downtown• Broadway• I-15 near Loves Truck Stop
• 1st Street & Holmes Ave• Sunnyside Rd & Hitt Rd• 1st Street• Hitt Rd & 1st Street
What did we learn?• 94% of our participant’s mode of transportation is a Car• The main reason they chose it is because of location• They would spend their dollars on Use of technology to reduce congestion and
delays and Making safety improvements on existing streets• We should get the dollars to support additional transportation from
development impact fees and increased gas tax• We should use Cost vs Benefits and opportunity for infill when selecting future
projects• Interstate Highways, Roads and Streets, and Directional Signs and Traffic
Signals have the best quality for transportation in our region• Increased traffic/congestion/delay, Development patterns, and Aging and
deteriorating infrastructure are the top three areas of significant transportation challenges in our region in the next 25 years
• When growth is taking place we should improve traffic flow through more traffic signal timing and building freight-only distribution centers
