UPCOMING SECTION WORKSHOPS
D2-D3 Review (8 contact hours)September 4, 2018
Riverside, CAPrevious State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB) distribution operator exam reviews were developed based
upon D1D2 (apprentice), D3D4 (journey), and D5 (management) formats. Due to operator feedback and the desire to provide the most current and viable education product to our industry, the Section now provides a "crossover" format for those distribution exam applicants who desire an exam review that exposes them to more transitional information
between the apprentice, journey, and management range-of-knowledge expected on the state exams.
D2-D3 Math Review (4 contact hours)September 5, 2018Riverside, CAThe D2D3 math review includes apprentice and journey elements associated with the basic and mid-level
Dosage and Feed Rates, Pressure and Head, Detention Time - Flow - Velocity, Telemetry (4-20 mA) and Stationing, GPCD - Production Costs and Basic Horsepower.
D4-D5 Math Review (4 contact hours)September 5, 2018
Riverside, CAThe D4D5 math review includes journey and managerial elements associated with the mid-level and
supervisory/management functions including all of those listed for the D2D3 math review plus the following: Financial
monthly water billing, Advanced Horsepower and production cost calculations and Commodity Operating Cost Calculations.
(16 contact hours)September 5-6, 2018Rancho Cucamonga, CAWater Quality sampling is an essential and integral part of every utility's compliance and operational activity. This two-day workshop seminar provides participants with both classroom instruction and hands-on activities, ensuring students gain a thorough understanding of the sampling process, and practice they need to take a variety of samples
