What is WebDewey?
• WebDewey is like the Abridged and Unabridged Dewey only with great accessories! And, it is located on the Web.
• WebDewey is a browser-based version of the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) database.
• The State Library can help you get started.

• WebDewey and Abridged WebDewey• Hardware=300MHz Pentium 11; display
resolution 1024 x 768• Web browser= Latest version of Microsoft
Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator• Memory= 64 MB RAM recommended• Internet connection High-speed
WebDewey Features
• All the contents of DDC-23 or Abridged WebDewey (Abridged 15) such as the schedules, tables, Manual, notes and Relative Index.
• User notes that you input, save, and search your own notes about local classification practices.
• Includes Relative Index terms and built numbers not available in print, Relative Index terms, MeSH, LCSH, BIASC and links mapped LCSH to LC authority records.

contact Carol Hageman at the State Library)• Logon to the a Dewey-only session by clicking
on “Dewey-Only Session” • After logging on, you see the welcome screen!• Click on the “OCLC WebDewey Information” link
to read the latest information about continuous updates and other issues.
