Ir. Ho Kin Wing holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree inCivil Engineering and a Master of Science in ConstructionLaw and Arbitration. Wing started his career as a structuralengineer in the late 80s in London, UK, where he obtainedhis degrees and chartered engineer qualification. Since thenhe has worked in Malaysia as well as in a number of otherAsian countries, the Middle East and in Europe, with projectsin Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East on a wide rangeof projects including buildings, infrastructure, oil and gasand petro-chemical plants.

Wing is a Chartered Engineer, UK and a ProfessionalEngineer, Malaysia. He is also a Fellow of the CharteredInstitute of Arbitrators. He is on the panel of Arbitrators,Adjudicators and Mediators with the Asian InternationalArbitration Centre and is accredited as a mediator by theConstruction Industry Development Board, Malaysia (CIDB).Wing is also a CIDB Certified Malaysia Civil EngineeringStandard Method of Measurement (MyCESMM) Trainer.

Wing is also a committee member of the IEM Subcommitteeof Engineering Contracts and IEM Subcommittee on DisputeAvoidance and Resolution Practice.

Synopsis

The current IEM Sub-Contract was first published in 2017, whichwas a major revision to the first edition that was published morethan 30 years ago in 1990. In 2020, minor revisions were madeto the 2017 IEM Sub-Contract to correct typographical errors andto ensure consistency throughout the 2017 IEM Sub-Contract.-The 2017 IEM Sub-Contract is drafted to be used in conjunctionwith both the IEM Main Contracts for Civil Engineering Works andthe Mechanical and Electrical Works. This webinar is to give anintroduction and overview of the 2017 IEM Sub-Contract.
