The Government of Malaysia has completed the final determination with regard to the anti-dumpinginvestigation concerning imports of hot rolled coils originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Indonesia. The investigation found that there is no domestic industry in Malaysia producing the like product that will suffer material injury that can be reasonablylinked to the importation of the said product.
Therefore, the Government has decided to terminate the anti-dumping duty on imports of hot rolledcoils originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Indonesia effective 9 February 2019. The termination is due to the imposition of an anti-dumping duty is no longer necessary.
The investigation has been initiated in accordance with the Countervailing and Anti-Dumping DutiesAct 1993 and Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties Regulations 1994 on 14 August 2018 based on a petition filed by PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) TBK (Indonesia) on behalf of the interested parties.Interested parties (importers, foreign producers/exporters and associations related to the investigation) can have access to the non-confidential version of the public report on the Final Determination by submitting a written request to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI):

For goods imported via Singapore, if information regarding the country of origin cannot be ascertained, such imports are included under the value of imports from Singapore, that is under the same category as goods produced/manufactured in Singapore.
2. Imports of second-hand goods are treated as originating from the country of consignment where the
country of origin is not ascertainable. 3. Exports are classified according to the country of destination, that is the country where it is expected
that the goods will be consumed in so far as this can be ascertained at the time of export. In the case of goods shipped on an optional bill of lading, the country of the first port declared is taken as the country of destination. For goods exported via Singapore, if information regarding the country of destination of goods is not known/available, such exports are included under the value of exports to Singapore, that is under the same category as goods consumed in Singapore.
4. For bunkers and stores supplied to ships and aircraft, the country of destination is determined according to the country of residence of the operator of the ship or aircraft.
