Next Thursday, Dawn and myself will be attending the South Dakota TourismConference, and are hoping to learn some new ideas and come back ready to tackleanother summer season with even more success than last year. The dates of theconference are January 15-17 which includes Tourism Day at the Capitol on Tuesdaywhich is a new addition to the conference this year.The SD Tourism Conference features internationally-renowned speakers, dynamicevening events and breakout sessions. These sessions will discuss many of theimportant topics in SD travel industry. Some topics include what the SD Department ofTourism is doing to market the state of South Dakota to potential visitors, regionalcollaboration, how to retain talent, hospitality, and creating winning teams. Theconference is also a great opportunity to network with various people from across thestate in many different industries.If your business is at all tourism related, you might want to consider attending one or alldays of the conference.
