Literacy Inquiry:We are going to be practicing with the formation of letter J.We will decorate letter J with jewels. We will read Jack and the beanstalk and other fun books.Our new sight word is an.

Unit of Inquiry:Central idea: Exploring leads to discovery.In this unit we will be discussing that exploring with our 5 senses leads to discovering the world around us.This week the kids will be rotating around the 7 kg1 classes to explore different 5 senses activities.

Home Connection:You can discuss with the children the 5 senses and how they can help us explore the world. You can also review the sight words with them and point them out while reading a story!

Library day:Wednesday March 4th

Math Inquiry:This week we will be exploring deeper into the concept of measuring with non-standard units. We will measure our heights on the wall using sticky hand shapes.
