Unit 9: Test-Taking Skills

Why talk about testing? According to whatis.techtarget.com, “certification is a formal process of making certain that an individual is qualified in terms of particular knowledge or skills.”

Typically, an agency (such as a software company or a professional organization) sets forth requirements and produces standardized testing in order for individuals to obtain the certification. Fees are assessed, so appropriate preparation the first time is prudent.

Certifications can complement the completion of an earned degree to strengthen a resume or give a boost towards advancement.

Lets go through the test

If you have taken the Unit 9 practice test already just listen

Follow along with the way I read the questions and figure out what the best answer may be

During the Test

During the test Wear comfortable clothing. Play soothing music or insist on quiet, depending on what works best for you. Have adequate lighting. Sit in a comfortable (but not too comfortable) chair. Watch the clock and pace yourself. Don’t rush. Read each question fully and carefully, looking for keywords. Do easiest questions and/or those which can earn the most points first. Don’t leave anything blank, unless there are penalties for wrong answers. If you have time, review your answers. If you’re not sure of an answer, don’t spend too much time on it. Instead, go back later. Look for clues to answers you don’t know in other questions. Don’t compare yourself to others
