WHOLEHEARTED PRAYER (I CHRONICLES 28:8-10)

A WHOLEHEARTED PRAYER delights GOD. It moves the hands of GOD.

Four (4) Key Words to Describe a Wholehearted Prayer:

I. The word IF: - poses a question- requires a decision- poses a challenge

Every Christian has to decide if he will seek the Lord w/ his whole heart & if he will move ahead & accept the challenge put before him.

If he does, then he can see the vision & accomplish what GOD has given him.

II. the Word YOU: - indicates personal responsibility on

the individualYou have to take responsibility to seek the

Lord. You have to:- bend your knees- open your mouth- make your heart attuned to GOD- lift your hands- intercede

III. the Word SEEK: - embraces the truth on knocking on doors- pushing down walls; and- pursuing a goal or an object until you grasp it.

It is an intense word describing a man who will not give up until he finds what he is after.

SEEKING is not for the lighthearted. It is for the persistent, the overcomer, the resilient one, the one who yearns to accomplish.

IV. the Word HIM: - focuses attention on the Lord God Himself.

Prayer must be to the God of the Bible.- He hears; He will be found;- He will forgive;- He will move by His Spirit if you seek Him.

CHALLENGE:IT IS BETTER TO HAVE HEARTFELT

PRAYERS EVEN IF WORDS DO NOT COME EASILY THAN TO HAVE WORDY PRAYERS WITHOUT HEART.

If your outlook is bad, you need to try the UPLOOK -- Looking up, seeking GOD wholeheartedly for an answer.

CONCLUSION:GOD knows the thoughts of

people yet He wants them to seek Him wholeheartedly and submit their requests to Him

HE promises to respond to people who seek Him with their whole heart.
