(Pequim) is a fast-growing, dynamic metropolis that, while
courting foreign businesses and visitors, maintains a firm grip
on its rich cultural heritage. The population of Beijing is over
19 million.
• Beijing is a modern city with high-rise buildings, shopping
malls and vast international hotels connected by an intricate
freeway system running throughout the city. In rush hour,
traffic jams can match those of any major city around the
world.
• Beijing is at its best in late spring and autumn, as the days are
pleasantly warm. The heat and humidity of the summers and
the biting wind in winter can be extreme.

Overview of Tianjin
• Tianjin is a metropolis in northern China and one of the five
national central cities of the People's Republic of
China (PRC). With a population of over 12 million, Tianjin is the
fourth largest in China.
• Tianjin is a dual-core city, with its main urban area (including the
old city) located along the Hai River; and Binhai, a New Area
urban core located east of the old city, on the coast of Bohai Sea.
As of the end of 2010, around 285 Fortune 500 companies have
set up base in Binhai, which is a new growth pole in China and is
a hub of advanced industry and financial activity.
• The city has many sights. The dense network of ex-concession
streets south and west of the central train station, and south of
