The Tenuta di Trinoro of the cult winemaker Andrea Franchetti, which is located in a godforsaken part of

will rave when they hear this name. In Val d’Orcia near the border to Umbria and Latium, the somewhat
eccentric offspring from the Cinzano empire and nephew of the famous American painter Cy Twombly thinks
up and develops some very unusual red wines - “Le Cupole” is definitely one of them.

Bodegas Mauro is the project of the legendary Castilian winemaker Mariano García and his sons Alberto and
Eduardo. The winery and most of the 80 owned vineyards are located just a few kilometers west of the DO
Ribera del Duero border. The wines are made based on Tempranillo, with the entry-level wine Mauro having
had 10% Syrah in the cuvée for several years. While Mauro hardly comes into contact with new wood, the
selection wine Vendimia Seleccionada only matures in new oak. Mauro is without a doubt one of the largest
Tempranillos in the world.
On the nose, dark chocolate, plums, cinnamon cherries and dried bananas; Powerful on the palate with soft
tannins and a fleshy body, well balanced, showing clear cherry aromas towards the finale.
Grape variety: Tempranillo & Syrah
Aalto Tinto Cosecha Ribera del Duero DO, Bodegas Aalto, Ribera del Duero
The Aalto project was launched in February 1999 in the famous Ribera del Duero wine region

environment and brings it together at the end of the maturation process in order to achieve the
right balance and complexity. In 2006, the Masaveu and Nozaleda families joined Aalto. They
own their own bodegas in other wine-growing areas in Spain and enriched the Bodega Aalto
with their expertise and the necessary stability.

French immigrants brought viticulture to Franschhoek in the 17th century. The Chocolate Block is a prime
example of “Châteauneuf-du-Cap”, as the region in the Western Cape is also often called. Is it because of the
chocolate aromas that this wine became a phenomenon? Very well defined bouquet of blackberries, raspberry
coulis, crushed rose petals, notes of orange peel and minerals. Medium-bodied, with a fine acidity, a rather
salty and spicy note with a pure finish on the palate. This vintage is much more detailed and classic in style

Decero The Owl & Dust Devil, Bodegas Finca Decero, Mendoza
Dust devil whirlwinds are common in the highlands of Mendoza. Lechuza owls have made their home in the
vineyard of Finca Decero. These fly bravely against the Dust Devils and dissolve them in order to protect
"their" grapes. That is why this unique wine was dedicated to them.
The Decero The Owl & Dust Devil is a red wine from Mendoza with lots of minerality and good structure.
Dark fruit on the nose and peppery aromas, which are reflected on the palate. Long finish.
Goes well with beef, lamb and game.

Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon, Penfolds
The Penfolds Bin 407 does not open immediately, but then releases the typical Cabernet aromas of ripe

The winemaker from the Australian winery Penfolds is absolutely masters of his craft. Style and finesse are
the characteristics of this red wine, which has its origins in the enchanting and sunny landscape of South
Australia. A must for connoisseurs, this powerful Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 - Bin 95 Grange! Culinary tip
from the bottler: This Cabernet Sauvignon can be served very well with ribeye steak or red meat. The playful
aromas of the Bin 95 Grange of fruit compote, spices and tobacco express a lot of complexity with a very
special structure. Next, the salient nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper show their own
character. A fruity red wine with a strong body and dominant acidity, which unfolds its complex structure
in a balanced way with finely developed tannins on the tongue and on the palate.

gives the wine a nice spice, elegant and powerful with structure and a complex interplay of acidity and
tannins. The finale is accompanied by red plums.

Château Lynch-Bages 5e Cru Classé AOC, Pauillac, Bordeaux
On a plateau called "Batges" stands a small hamlet of the same name, which is practically the birthplace of
Château Lynch-Bages. Very close to the village of Pauillac, in the heart of the Médoc, there are traces of
viticulture that go back to the 16th century. In 1749 it was mentioned that an Irishman named Thomas
Lynch had obtained the vineyard by marrying a woman from Bordeaux. His wines, which he called "Crus
de Lynch", were officially classified in 1855 as 5eme Grand Cru. This "Bordeaux" has a lush, deep pauillac
aroma on the nose with lots of blue and black cassis, blackberries, vanilla stalks and dark bread. On the
palate, very ripe, barely noticeable tannins, a lot of body, warm radiance, dense fruit sweetness in the core,
persistent finish with spicy components.
