About the FDP

The Internet of Things (IOT) is the con-cept of making devices smarter by link-ing them to the Internet. The potential benefits are limitless and its applica-tions are opening new opportunities for growth, innovation and knowledge creation. It is changing the way we work and life by saving time and re-sources. It allows all kinds of organiza-tions to manage, optimize and develop new business models. IOT has the po-tential to support ageing society by op-timizing energy usage, mobility and transport system. Its success depends on the ecosystems development, sup-ported by appropriate regulatory envi-ronment and trust. The aim of this pro-gramme is to introduce the participants to the amazing world of sensor net-works and other IOT platforms. This FDP aims to serve as a platform to train and educate the research scholars, faculty, and people from industry to interact on cutting-edge technologies in this emerging area. The program is aimed at learning the concept of Inter-net of Things and its Applications and thus equip the Faculty teaching in AK-TU affiliated colleges with the required knowledge and research issues particu-larly of interests to the faculty aspiring to pursue research degree.
