What was the Islamic Golden Age?The Islamic Golden Age lasted from the 8th century to the 13th century. So 700 AD - 1200 AD.
This period was called Golden Age, because engineers, scholars and traders in the Islamic world did so many amazing things at this time.
Which countries where Islamic during the golden age? Wowee! Islam spread from Arabia hundreds of miles around the earth - from Spain to India!
Some cool factsAt the time two of the largest cities in the world were part of the Arab Islamic empire- Cordoba in Spain and Baghdad in Syria.
Baghdad was a major city of learning and printing. It had over 100 booksellers and wa 10x larger than London at that time.
