Our forests today

PA forests contain ~5% young forest; in New England, it drops to only ~2%.

Species declines

The woodcock population has declined by 56% since the early 1970s, with a steady annual decline of 2-4% across its range.

Golden-winged warblers have declined by 6.8% per year since 1970 and 16% per year since 1990 in Pennsylvania.

What about mature forest species?
