Your Love is So Cool

On February 9, 2012, I had my first art show, called Your Love is Just So Cool. My gracious and beautiful friend, Sya, hosted me in her very cool space in the Mission District in San Francisco. I showed both my Everyday Valentine illustrations, my paintings and pastel illustrations I had done in Bali. We really transformed Sya’s small massage studio into a haven of love and color- two things that describe my work. I think what I am most interested in when I make art is reaching out through the paper/the canvas to tell the viewer that I love them. That, and I like to blast them with color. So many people came out to support me- and funny, I was the one that felt very, very loved.
