42 guidelines for teachers

42 Undeniable Absolute Principles

how to ensure a superior

education to your child?

rule-1

respectindividuality

The individuality of the child should be respected.

The child should be taught according to the individuality of that child.

The education should be child-centered, and not teaching centered.

rule-2

freedom

12biseriapuneet.combiseriapuneet.com

freedom

The child should be given the freedom to choose what it wants to learn.

The way it wants to learn, and the pace to learn it.

The freedom should be given to let the child take his time, to learn that

particular thing.

Efforts should be made to let the taught seep in; however, if not, it should be

left.

It can be taught later. (or in the later years of life).

rule-3

Identify/develop the inborn/innate power of child

20

Every child has some special talents.

It is the responsibility of the teachers, as well as parents to identify and develop

those special qualities.

The ultimate objective of doing this, is to enable the child to earn its livelhood

through that inborn talent.

rule-4

nature

26

The child should be taught in the lap of the nature.

No restrictions should be made, if the child wants to play in the time of

learning.

rule-5

learning by

doing

31

Self explanatory.

rule-6

learning byexperience

35

Our mind constantly evaluates situations.

It is the process which we use to solve our problems.

How we solve our problems? (6 steps)

1. To realize that there is a problem.

2. To evaluate the reasons behind that problem.

3. To arrange the information.

4. To collect the solutions to remove that problem.

5. Application of those solutions.

6. Accept or reject the outcome.

Every human being has the tendency to solve the problem, and when a person

faces a lot of problems or problematic

situations, we call that person an

experienced person.

46

try new

things

These 6 steps constitutes the experience of a person.  And therefore the ultimate

rationale of education is to,

Teach the experiences which a person can come across in his surroundings.

And we can construct, deconstruct, and reconstruct the experiences

accordingly.

That is to say, that when a person faces a problem, he is a different person; and immediately after

facing it, he is a different person; and after a

considerable period of time after facing that

problem, the person is a different person with an

altogether different outlook.

Read it once again to let it seep in.

The more a person faces a particular set of problems, the more expert he

becomes in solving those.

That is, to use the experience acquired from a different context to a different

context.

rule-7

Minimise memorization

56

Minimise memorization

It is very important to know how to find an answer on the internet.

The child should be taught about the basic facts, so that they can link the

information.

No time should be wasted in memorising the useless facts.

The child should be trained only to assemble and evaluate the information.

The child should be encouraged to try new things

In the beginning, the child obviously  will commit a lot of mistakes.

Let them, if they commit mistakes, they should not be discouraged or ridiculed.

The child should not feel frightened in committing mistakes.

Encourage them.

The child should be encouraged to do its best.

Never seek or ask for perfection.

rule-8

Synchronization of Mansa, Vacha, Karmana

70

To establish the synchronization of thought, word, and action.

What is meant by this?

Suppose you know the benefits of doing Pranaayaam, you must also be able to talk about

it in full detail, PLUS, you must do it regularly.

The knowledge does not mean to know it means to become.

rule-9

practical

77

Related to life

Education should be of such quality that whatever is

taught, and the child should be able to practice that thing

in his real life.  Then there are things which are taught

in the curriculum such as the experiment of calculating the velocity of life, but when we already know it, what is the

point of wasting time to learn that experiment.

Child should be taught how to stay

healthy, how to cook food,

swimming, do those sort of things which it can really

use in his life.

80

rule-10

usability

83

Teaching of those things which are really useful.  Like how to drive a vehicle, and

how to drive safely.

The children should also be taught to cook food.

How to book tickets, how to use computers, how to use internet for getting the information you want.  Such sort of

things should be taught.

Those exercises should be taught by

which a child can increase his core strength,  for that systemic exercises are good. Exercises

such as sooryanamaskar is

the best.

By means of which a child can attain a powerful body.

Concentration should be made on practical aspects and not only on

theoretical aspects.

All in all, the child should be taught to use its brain.

90biseriapuneet.com

Using one’s brain

rule-11

use of body

93

It means that if the need of physical power is

required and you do not find a laborer, the

person should have the capacity to carry out that work.  Then your work should not be

hampered.

The child should be taught to stay healthy and become powerful.

The child should be trained in First Aid.

The child must be taught about the nutritious food, and how to avail it.

The child must be enabled to do certain repetitions of  certain

systemic exercises (My favorite is

Sooryanamaskaars) throughout the

session.

And they should be graded according to the number of repetitions.

rule-12

easy to

difficult

102

At first, those things should be taught which are easy to learn, and after

mastering it, difficult things should be

taught.

rule-13

Systematic

106

Systematic

The education system should be systematic.

If a particular topic is being taught in a

particular subject, then all the things related to

that topic should be taught in other subjects

also.

The utmost importance should be paid to the relevance of what is taught.

rule-14

dancing

112

It makes you more confident.

It relieves stress and tension through creative expression.

It makes you new friends in a positive, dynamic, fun environment.

It enables you to develop a proper understanding of your emotions.

It helps you to know yourself better.

It enables you block out everything else and concentrate solely on your work.

It removes stage fright.

rule-16

drawing

140

to draw

Drawing develops the whole Brain.

It strengthens focus and increases attention.

It develops hand-eye coordination.

It gives you the capacity to thinking strategically.

It develops the capacity to explore what has not existed before.

It makes you more creative.

It encourages open-ended thinking.

It makes you famous.

It gives you a channel to express your creativity.

If you are good at it, you can also earn a lot of money.

It awakens your senses.

It enables you observe things closely.

rule-17

Gardening

155biseriapuneet.com

Gardening

biseriapuneet.com

It is good. Period.

rule-18

yogdoing

159

Suryanamaskaar

doing

161

Praanaayaam (the breathing exercises)

163

It develops the Mental, Emotional, Physical, Spiritual, and Social aspect of

the person.

It will enable the child to achieve calmness.

rule-19

A child learns a lot from the people around it.

168biseriapuneet.com

The company of people

So it is very necessary for the parents to check the people who are

surrounding their child.

And the parents should behave accordingly to set a good example.

171

Girls and boys

should have a

different curriculum

The girls should be taught to be great mothers and great homemakers, first.

The boys should be taught to be financially independent, first.

rule-20

character

176

Education Should build the

Honesty, Justice, Generosity, Persistence, Patience, Kindness,

Modesty.

The child should be taught about the virtues / morality

In order to do that, I suggest reading the entire series of Chicken soup for the

Soul.

rule-21

Sociability

182biseriapuneet.com

Develop Sociability

biseriapuneet.com

The child should be taught to behave in a sociable manner in the society.

It must be taught that how the child is a social entity.

And how it should carry itself in the society.

Let them Talk

To communicate is the most important life skill.

And the child should be encouraged to be able to converse.

The child should be asked / allowed to speak in social situations.

Like placing the order to the waiter, ask the librarian for help, et cetra

The child should be able to deliver a firm, traditional handshake.

The child should be able to make eye contact.

The child must have the ability to look into the eyes when talking to anyone.

rule-22

adaptability

Adaptability

To inculcate the ability to alter itself or its responses to the changed

circumstances or environment.

rule-24

walk while you

study

200

One should keep on walking while one is studying.

It will not only build the stamina, and will also develop a healthy and strong

body.

It is seen that most of the studious students

have a weak digestion system, or they are suffering

from one or the other lifestyle related

diseases.

This is the best remedy, which I have practiced.

rule-25

How to learn / teach?

This is a very important point.

No attempt should be made cram the subjects.

Topics should be taught by means of debates and questioning and

answering.

Debates, questions, answers puts the brain into action and child learns by

question everything.

211

debate

It enhances the reasoning capacity.

It also enhances to power to observe things closely and judge it.

It clarifies everything related to the topic.

Plus, it also makes the class more participative.

rule-26

Learning by Questioning and Answering is the

best way of learning

218

rule-27

History should be taught

221

But the students should only be told about the history and every topic should

be repeated several times.

But the child should not be asked to learn the dates.

It is only learning dates that makes history a dreadful subject.

The concentration should be paid in knowing what happened.

And not when did it happen.

Same goes with Civics, Geography, and Economics.

The child should be taught about the basics of these subjects.

I have learnt everything when I was a student in

school, and now, I do not remember most of the things related to

History, Civics, Geography, and

Economics, but then also I am doing fine.

Algebra Should be abandoned.

In my 34 years of life, not for a single time, I was able to use any concept of

algebra.

rule-28

The child should be taught in its Mother tongue. Period.

234

Taught in the

Mother tongue.

biseriapuneet.com

If a child is not intelligent in a

particular subject, let it be; the

concentration should be paid on that

subject in which the child has the innate talent / capacity to

master.

rule-29

use museu

ms

238

Every attempt should be made to create a museum.

And if that is not possible, interesting pictures should be collected.

Interesting pictures, cartoons, eye catchy

photographs, scenes of movies, everything,

which can impart some knowledge, should be collected / stored and

should be delivered in a timely manner.

It really boosts the learning.

rule-30

productivity

245

rule-31

Whatever is taught should produce something.

By concentrating on producing something, the child may learn the

importance of time / resources / labor.

rule-32

read

251

Read

The child should be taught to develop a taste for reading.

I am talking about the word AUTODIDACT.

The child should be encouraged to read. Even if it is a comic book.

It is even recommended by the

Oxford University that the child who read comics, learn

the words by contexts, which fixes the word into their

memory.

Children naturally take interest in reading comics.

Interesting books should be carefully selected so as to attract the attention of

the children.

The penultimate aim is to develop the interest of the child in reading.

The ultimate aim is enable the child to be an autodidact.

rule-33

vocation

262

Vocation

The education should enable the child to earn one’s  livelihood, by doing the

things one likes.

As soon as the child reaches the age of 15, the child should be asked to earn

some money.

Doing all these odd jobs, teaches a lot of things, and teaches the child about

the value of things.

It will develop the economic efficiency.

Which in turn will develop the industrial competency.

Which in turn will develop the entrepreneurial instinct.

It will remove the problem of unemployment.

The economic efficiency means earning one’s own living, as well as of those who

are dependent on that person.

It will also render the ability to manage economic resources usefully instead of

wasting it in attaining luxuries.

rule-34

education should

liberate

274

The child must learn to strike a balance between self-control and freedom.

rule-35

The curriculum should be synchoronized with other subjects.

278biseriapuneet.com

Synchronized

biseriapuneet.com

If the science teacher is teaching Photosynthesis. The social science

teachers must be teaching things related to social, geographical, historical, economical aspects of vegetation

(photosynthesis).  The English teacher and the Hindi teacher must be teaching

about the vocabulary pertaining to plants (photosynthesis), and the Teacher of

Mathematics, about the Mathematical aspects of photosynthesis (carbon

footprints, how much oxygen a tree of a particular size releases, nitrogen, global warming) and how to calculate those.

Everything should be adapted according to the individuality of the

child.

Secondly, if the teacher sees that a child is not

good at mathematics, it is not necessary that the teacher should

deliberate mathematics, the teacher should

deliberate that subject for which the child has a

penchant for.

It is not only the duty of the teacher, but of the parents as well to identify the caliber of the child and teach

accordingly.

We, as parents and teacher, have to concentrate on the strengths of the child

and not on the weaknesses.

12-24 is the best time to learn

rule-36

All necessary things should be taught.

287

If you are an Indian, you must be aware of the exams of SSC (Staff

Selection Commission), which contains a superior blend of questions related

to Language aptitude, Maths aptitude, Reasoning

aptitude, and General Knowledge.

I am giving you a rule and this rule should be followed religiously.

The rule is to solve at least one question paper of SSC.

The General Knowledge section of SSC is very diverse

and contains a lot of things which most of

the most reputed curricula cannot afford to teach.

rule-37

The teacher should know everything about the subject.

294biseriapuneet.com

Know everything about the subject.

biseriapuneet.com

rule-38

The teacher should have the penchant to learn new things.

297

new things.

rule-39

The teacher should know about the nature of the student he is teaching.

300

rule-40

The teacher should be dynamic who can change according to the situations.

303

rule-41

The teacher should have the

understanding of the psychology to

understand the needs, interests, capacity, and the

individuality.

306

The teacher should know how to alter the behavior of the child in a desirable

manner.

rule-42

The teacher should encourage the curiosity of the child.

310biseriapuneet.combiseriapuneet.com

The job of a teacher is to develop the

capacity to think and evaluate, so that the child can develop the

understanding of right and wrong by

themselves.

312

If you really want to ascertain the good education of your child effortlessly,

ensure that all of the above mentioned

points should be met and keep on visiting,

314

However, since this is India, and we cannot rely on anyone for

our child’s education,

Therefore, do not rely solely on the teachers of your

child, take the initiative.

316

If you really want to ascertain good education of your

child effortlessly..

317

Ensure that all of the points should

be met, and…

Keep on reading and visiting…
