It is one type of applied research

and conducted by a teacher to aid in

decision –making in the school.

It focuses on the solution of day-

to-day problems at the classroom

levels. It is less rigorous in terms of

design and methodology than other

educational research .

-is collaborative

- is participatory

- is the establishment of self-

critical communities of work

- is open-minded

- is a process that we “test “our

ideas about our work

- is working in small groups of

collaborations

Existence of an unsatisfactory condition, a felt

problem that need

Rationale of the study

Don’t forget:• Background of the study

• Describe the problem situation considering global, national and local

• Justify the existence of the problem situation by citing statistical data and authoritative sources

• Make clinching statement that will relate the background to the proposed research problem

Instruction

This portion brings about the possible approaches to solve the problem. It must give good reasons for the use of such alternative actions. It can be drawn from the list of innovative methodologies that the DEPED endorses for use in the elementary and high school levels.

of the study, the

Evaluation Criteria

Indicates criterion by

which the researcher declares

the success of the study

State the specific purposes to address the problem areas of the project. They should be clear as to what the project intends to achieve and must be attainable within the timeframe and resources required.

Formulation the Objectives• Statements of the goals of the study• Set the limit by which the problem will be studied• Should be attainable under reasonable conditions• Simple, specific, narrow enough to permit definite answers

to answer the objectives

specified in the study.

The rule of the thump in the

presentation of results is to be guided by

the objectives of the study

Conclusions are inferences, deductions, abstractions ,

implications, interpretations , general statements , and or

generalization based upon the findings.

Conclusions should appropriately answer the specific

questions raised at the beginning of the study

Conclusions should be formulated concisely , that is, brief

and short, yet they convey all the necessary information

resulting from the study as required by the specific questions

Recommendations are appeal to people or entities

concerned to solve or help solve the problems

discovered in the study.

No recommendations should be made for a problem

, or anything for that matter, that has not been

discovered or discussed in the study.

There may also be recommendations for the

continuance of a good practice or system , or even

recommendations for its

improvement .

Recommendations should aim for the ideal but

they

must be feasible, practical and attainable.

Recommendations should be addressed to the

persons , entities , agencies or offices which are in

position to implement them .

There should be a recommendation for further

research on the same topic in other places to verify or

negate the findings of the study.

Reflections talks about looking back

the original intentions of the

researcher and what has been

observed.
