Being organized AND prepared doesn’t take time--- it makes time AND it saves time.

AND ORGANIZED

Tips to being organized

• Throw out what is unnecessary

• Stay focus on the task at hand

• Put things in a certain place

• Set priorities

• Do you have all your supplies?

• Do you get to church a few minutes early to have everything ready?

• Do you take time to research your topic and add more spice to your lesson?

• Is your lesson boring?

• Are you reaching all learning styles?

• Are you still telling the story while they sit around the table and then afterwards do a coloring sheet?

• Did you take a few min. to find a skit or a song about the lesson?

• Did you look for a video

• Did you find an object lesson?

If the pastor walked in & sat in your class, what would he see?

• what would he think about your teaching?

• Would you be prepared?

• Would your kids, teens, or adults be bored?

• Would they be learning from you? • And if so.. how long would they

remember it? • Do you make them sit a majority of

the time? • If you only had one child in your

class, would you prepare like you had 30?

• What if that one child was yours, would you prepare any differently?

• Do you come in & stand around talking & even continue to talk to everyone else while your class is just sitting there waiting on you to begin?

• Are you spiritually ready to teach?

• Have you prayed and sought God about your lesson?

• Why are you teaching?

•If you had to sit under your teaching or your ministry, what would you think of yourself?

When preparing, consider the following…

Are You Spiritually Prepared

•Are you so rushed that you don’t time to pray over the lesson you are studying?

•Do you pray for the children, teens, adults teach?

•Are you a positive example?•Do you seek the Holy Spirit to guide you?

• Are you reaching each child through his/her learning style?

• Is your class leaving with more knowledge than when they came in?

• Are you spending enough time getting your lesson ready?

• Are you getting to class on time?• Is your class bored?• Do you have supplies needed to teach?
