Aims

• To support young people at risk of becoming NEET to:– Stay in education and training.

– Increase attainment.

– Increase self-confidence.

• To build a new model of support for young people that can respond to local conditions and be scaled.

Achievement Coaches

• Delivered in:– Bedfordshire, Blackpool, Corby, County Durham, Gateshead, Greater

Manchester, Kettering, Leeds, London, Nottingham, Stoke on Trent, Wakefield.

• Outputs– 800 young people supported– 85% reporting improved attitude, motivation or self confidence– 60% achieving improved attainment level– 50% committed to ongoing activity– Recruit and train 100 volunteer Achievement Coaches
