The voice of Valya Balkanska, recorded on the golden disk,

is one of the messages of humanity to the universe!

On its board the space probe "Voyager 1“ is carrying messages to other worlds,

recorded on a golden disc. It contains pictures, sounds and

technology from the Earth. Samples of the achievements of our

human civilization are selected.

Among them - a kissing, a maternal lullaby,

a sound of wind and water.

Our country was founded in 681. by khan Asparoukh. Over the centuries, our ancestors were able to preserve,

protect, regenerate and develop Bulgaria as it is today - a whole from territory and rich cultural heritage.

● Our town has a thousand-year history.

● It is an administrative center of Haskovo region in south-eastern Bulgaria, located near the border with Greece and Turkey.

● The population is above 78 000 people.

● The town ranks the 12th largest city in Bulgaria.

● Twin towns are: Абингтън - USA, Александруполис - Greece, Енгера – Spain, Лестър – England, Новара – Italy, Одрин Turkey, Ташкент – Uzbekistan, Веспрем – Hungary, Châtillon-sur-Indre – France.

● Our town is famous for its rich cultural life, with many historical monuments and landmarks. Every year the town hosts musical, literary and folk festivals.

● There are 20 schools in the town.
