Parents had their cameras out in full force for the event!

Superintendent Jay Haugen greeted students. He was able to visit four schools for the morning sessions and will be spending time in each building, visiting classrooms in the weeks ahead.

District facilities were clean and ready for students.

New technology will greet students, now nearly all Farmington classrooms will feature interactive systems to improve student learning.

At Akin Road Elementary, Principal Laura Pierce and Assistant Superintendent Christine Weymouth provided a warm welcome for students!

The youngest students at Akin Road Elementary will benefit from a new playground area created at the south end of the building.

The new Akin Road Elementary traffic and pedestrian safety project appeared to be operating as anticipated.

At Dodge Middle School a new, secure entrance area for school visitors was put to the test on the first day and worked as promised.

In addition to improved safety, the Dodge Middle School office now provides a more welcoming area for parents and visitors to the school.
