datecookiebeforevanishinginto
thinair.So,theylookedforherina
godforgottenroomupstairswhere
thegirlbumpedintoabookthat
remindsusofAliceinWonderland
andthen..."Theteacherstoppedit

ashamed.Feelingherteacher's

absent-mindedlyonthecomputer
keysasifshewererethinkingthe
storytofindsomekindoflogical
explanation.Thereadingofthe
sharedtalehadbroughtherback

couldn'tputintowords.
Asuddenchillrandownherspine
andshebeganshuddering
uncomfortably.Tryingtocalm
down,sheglancedawayfromthe
screenforawhileandskimmed
overtheroominsearchof
somethingthatcouldhelppull
herselftogether.
Theroomwasamess:atraywith
someleft-oversonthebedspread,
adirtytracksuitlyingsloppilyon

Suddenly,oneofthebooksonthe
floorcaughthereye.Itwasopento
