institution might distribute your media product and why?

Our distribution company is called….

We made an independent distribution company because

through research we found that a lot of spy/thrillers similar to our genres had their own distribution company. This also meant that we could have

more control over the titles

Before deciding to create an independent distribution ident we researched other films of

the same genre to see what they used. From our research we concluded that the films Frozen River

and Cold weather (films like ours) used independent distribution and were entered in

Film competitions and festivals.

A distribution companies that are similar to ours are Axiom Films, Lionsgate and Altitude Film distribution as they are all Individual and make serious films.

Due to our film being distributed independently, this had enabled us to have a restricted local release with the premiere

and ‘theatrical’ release at an art house cinema screen on the green.

Our theatrical release date is the 1st of February 2016, our DVD release will be on the 15th of April.

As ours film is a low budget we used social network to promote it as it is inexpensive and a lot of people have it.
