GOING TO AND WILL

GOING TO "going to" is used to express future

actions already planned.

EXAMPLES: I´m going to buy a new car next week.

EXAMPLES: They ´re going to move house.

GOING TO Or to make predictions when there is

support for them

EXAMPLES: There´re very dark clouds. I think it´s

going to rain very soon

EXAMPLES: She didn´t study for the exam. She´s

going to fail.

WILL "Will" is used to discuss a decision that

is taken just at the time of speaking.

EXAMPLES: I´ll have a cup of tea.

EXAMPLES: We´ll go for a walk if you want.

WILL It is also used to make predictions but

when there is no sign of them.

EXAMPLES: Buy her that book. She´ll like it a lot.

EXAMPLES: It´ll be cold tonight.
