How do I……find course reserves?

Course Reserveso are required readings or supplemental materials for courses.

o can be books, articles, maps, DVDs or other materials.

o have shorter loan periods to allow more students to access them.

Two Types of Course ReservesReserves at the Circulation Desk:

o Most can be borrowed for 3 hours and must stay in the Library.

o Available at the Circulation Desk.

Short Loans:o Loaned for 2 days.o Kept on the regular shelves.

To find a course reserve, go to www.eclibrary.ca

Click on Catalogue

Click on the Reserves link.

Enter your instructor’s name, course number, or course name in the Search box and click on the appropriate button below.

In this example, we are searching by Course Number.

Choose your course from the list.

Click on the title you wish to borrow for more details about the item.

This is a course reserve held at the Circulation Desk.

Write down the call number and take it to the Circulation Desk so the staff can retrieve the item for you.

If the course reserve you want is a Short loan item

o Write down the call number.o Find the item on the regular Library shelves.o Take the item to the Circulation Desk to sign it out.

Please ensure that you returncourse reserves on time.

Course reserves cannot be renewed.

Overdue Fines for Course Reserves

Reserves at the Circulation Desk (3-hour loan): $1.00/hour

Short loan items: $2.00/day
