1 tweet per day = 1 retweet 2 tweets per day = retweet drops to 25% 3 tweets per day = retweet rate drops to 60% 4-5 tweets = retweet rate drops to 75% 21-30 tweets = retweets rate drops to 5%

when the content (a link or a post) engagement (likes, comments, shares, etc.) has received 50% of its attention. Another way to explain it is to say the

According to Bit.ly (worldwide URL-shortening platform) the half-life of a link or post (content) on social media is distressingly short. Here is their analysis of 1,000 links distributed on social networks:

Twitter = 2.8 hours Facebook = roughly 24 minutes longer than Twitter YouTube = 7.4 hours
