Innovation Plans
INNOVATION: WHAT’S ALL ABOUT?
Not a completely new idea, it’s new to me (or to the context where I work)
Innovation brings (positive) changes and new ways of doing things, new approaches
It adds value to what I’m already doing
Can bring lessons to others (scaling-up)
It’s based on opportunities already in place
IP Framework
The IP is framed within the on-going activities of the institutions and organizations represented by the Teams.
The IPs will enhance (boost) the performance of on-going activities, not generate new ones.
The IP has a max. duration of 15 months.
Through a contest, the best 5 IPs will be prized with USD 2500.- as starting capital.

INNOVATION PLAN
Vision What is your goal / priority? What would you like to achieve on the long-term?
Ex. Women’s empowerment
Relevance Why is this important or a priority?
Think about the current situation and the constraints that difficult the achievement of your vision / goal.
Actions to Take What new actions or new practices can we implement in order to address these objectives?
Get inspired from what you have learned during the Learning Route! What could be done similarly?
List the Actions, step by step.
Actors Involved What kind of actors should be involved?
In order to undertake the actions /steps you set, to reach the objectives you planned and the final
goal you would like to achieve: who are the key people to involve? (Ex. local authorities, groups of
women, supporting projects etc.) NB: Maybe not all actors need to be involved at the same time. Try
to identify who are the key people / organizations/ institutions you should involve according to the
specific action you want to take.

Sharing your Concept Note
This is the final exercise of the Learning Route and has as objective the participatory contribution to the Innovation Plan (IP) first concept note.
The concept note (CN) is a tool for sharing, improving and validating the lessons learned in your organization and contexts of origin.
Today, each team presents in plenary the CN and will receive the feedback of the peers.
Sharing your Concept Note
The CN is followed by the full design of the IP for 15 January 2015.
There will be a review/feedback on the Innovation Plans;
There will be a contest of the submitted Innovation Plans and the 5 with an highest score will receive a co-funding of 2500 USD each for its implementation.
