As a result, the northern villages were freed from 19 years ofrecurrent Syrian shelling; the passage of Israeli and Israel-bound shipping through the Straits of Tiran was ensured; and Jerusalem, which had been divided under Israeli and Jordanian rule since 1949, was reunified under Israel's authority.

politics of hate now assaults Christians, Bahai, Yazidis and many others, including Muslims on the wrong side of the Sunni/Shia divide, as well as Jews. To fight it, we must stand together, people of all faiths and of none. The future of freedom is at stake, and it will be the defining battle of the 21st century.http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=9&ved=0CE4QFjAI&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2F2015%2F02%2F16%2Feurope%2Fanti-semitism-in-denmark%2F&ei=legoVYOnKoqeNqu9gfgM&usg=AFQjCNFCklbp3yY-CAuyqi9gHCWb57-weg&sig2=GiLuYlWBcssnLZgzLBr91A&bvm=bv.90491159,d.eXY
