What about referencing my work?

“Plagiarism happens when you submit someone else’s work as your own.”

(Williams, K. and Carroll, J. (2009) Referencing and understanding plagiarism. Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan, p52)

You must reference all your sources

It guides others

Shows you have read relevant academic literature

Strengthens your arguments by providing evidence

It prevents accusations of plagiarism

The School of Psychology uses APA style, most other schools use Harvard (Cite Them Right version). If unsure, check with your lecturer.

You must use the correct style.
