A Day To

Remember

Long Bay Marine Reserve Trip

(28th May, 2014)

We left school at 9.15am.

Apart from

kids, parent

helpers were

very excited

too.

When we reached

Long Bay we had our

morning tea first.

As we walked to

the beach we had

to look for

evidence of living

things.

Session 1

We played 5 second camera game.

At the beach we looked for evidence of living things.

Session 2

We found a sea star.

We collected different kinds of sea shells, sea weeds and

sticks and many more things.

● Don’t walk or

damage the

plants on the

shore.

● It’s there to

capture the sand

and handle

rough seas.

Plants on the

beach

● We saw the

biggest ever

jelly fish.

● It was red in

colour.

This lobster has been

preserved for 100 years.

Session 3

We looked for evidence of

living things at the Rock Pools.

Barnacles growing on the rock.

Rock on the

shore.

We had to stay away from the falling rocks

while going to the rock pools.

It was fun looking for live sea

creatures in the Rock Pools.
