MAC PROTOCOLRELIABLE MULTICAST OVER MULTI-HOP WIRELESS AD HOC NETWORKS

BY 10IT50

Abstract

Multicast data communication is an efficient communication scheme, especially in multi-hop ad hoc networks where the media access control (MAC) layer is based on one-hop broadcast from one source to multiple receivers. Compared to unicast, multicast over a wireless channel should be able to deal with varying channel conditions of multiple users and user mobility to provide good quality to all users.

EXISTING SYSTEM

the communication industry this type of communication between nodes is called hopping, and for this type of network to operate effectively each node must have at least two radio pathways to communicate with the other nodes.

DEMIRTS

o Irregular changes in connectivity or total failure.

o Degraded performance, lower throughput.

o No multicast

o Throughput/Delay/Packet loss

o Existing tools may not respond to features of 802.11 protocols (such as rate-adaptation and random-access MAC).

PROPOSED SYSTEM

This project presents an Autonomous network Reconfiguration System (ARS) Mac Protocol has an physical address of system and it suitable to get destination address

as a list which is useful for group transfer mission or Multicast Efficient Multi Cast MAC Protocol has been introduced for muticast in WLANmerits. It allows free flow of information without any moderation or selective rate control Wireless networking is organic — everyone in the neighborhood contributes network

resources and cooperates. Support Multicast

Modules

• Enabling Peer To Peer System

• Implement Efficient Multicast MAC Protocol

• Handshaking Connection

• Unicast, Multicast and Broadcast in IEEE 802.11

• Graphical View of Transmission

Enabling Peer To Peer System:

First step, have to enable both sender and receiver system which additionally have to provide network connectivity with Ip Address and Port Number.

All client–server protocols are application-layer protocols.

Implement Efficient Multicast MAC Protocol

Media access control (MAC) layer is based on one-hop broadcast from one source to multiple receivers.

Efficient Multicast MAC Protocol has been introduced to perform multicast in WLAN which increase system performances.

.Handshaking Connection

Efficient Multicast MAC Protocol has RTS (Req to Send) and CTS (Clear To Send) which is used to get request from destination system for data or file transfer .

Unicast, Multicast and Broadcast in IEEE 802.11

The destination may be single or group or all system which is in WLAN which means unicast or multicast or broadcast

Then, the data will transfer using MAC protocol to the destination in IEEE 802.11
