• Large financial institution, objective branch level
performance data, longitudinal design, two waves of
data, perceived HR practices/work systems
• Quality orientation, goal effectiveness, top-down
communication, pay satisfaction, job security = important
HR indicators; More than 10.000 respondents, average
response rate around 80%
• An improvement of one standard deviation in HR
indicators is associated with 165 million higher profit! (=
