Health is a state of complete physical , mental and social well-being.

Illness is the opposite of health.Illnesses change the functions of our bodies.

Healthy habits

A balanced diet. Keeping a meal

routine. Good hygiene. Enough rest. Breathing clean air. Physical exercise.

Infectious diseases -contagious. -non-contagious. Non-infectious

PATHOGENS

Bronchitis. Salmonellosis. Bacterial meningitis.

OTHER HARMFUL MICROORGANISIMS

Unicellular pathogenic microorganisms.

Multicellular microorganisms.

PREVENTING AND TREATINGINFECTIUS DISEASES Pathogenic

microorganisms enter our bodies in three different ways:

Through the respira-

tory system. Through the digestive

system. Through the wounds.

PREVENTING INFECTIONS

Disinfect wounds. Wash your hands be-

fore eating or handling food.

Avoid sharing drinking or eating utensiles.

Avoid walking barefoot in swimming pools.

VACCINES

A vaccine is when a doctor introduces a pathogenic microorganism In your organism.This microorganism can be dead or inactive.

TREATMENT OF INFECTIONS

Infections cause by bacteria:treated with antibiotics.

Infections cause by fungi:treated with antifungal medicines.

Infections cause by viruses:we can only treat with medications that help reduce symptoms.
