WHAT IS TECHNOLOGY?

Technology is the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes especially in industry. TECHNOLOGY BOON OR BANE?

Almost all the teens use technology everyday. It makes the life of teenagers instant, easy and fast as the time goes by different kinds of technologies wore created and were used in a specific routine in life. These technologies has effects on teenagers that sometimes make their life miserable or bring better future in just the way how they use technology ineveryday life.

Teenagers use technology for educational purposes. The research of a certain topic became fast and easy and in just a simple click on the computer, different answers on a certain question will be given. Internet solves a certain problems or generates more answers. But this way of using technology lead the teenager to rely on the internet in doing their school work. This lead them in a copy-pasting method of answering a certain question instead of reading and learning it.

MODEL

•Teacher is expert and information *teacher is a guide and provider facilitator

*sources are varied•Textbook is key source of information *focus on learning inquiry/

guest/•Focus on facts, information is packaged discovery in neat parcels *Emphasis on process•The product is the be-all and end-all of*Assessment is learning

According to research, technology increases students’ learning, understanding and achievements but also augments motivation on learning, encourage collaborative learning and supports the development of critical thinking in problem solving skills.

CONE OF EXPERIENCE

According to one of the principles in the selection and use of teaching strategies, the more senses that are involved in learning, the more and the better the learning will be but it does not mean that concrete experience is the only effective experience that educators should use in transferring knowledge to the learner.

Cone of Experience

-is a visual model, a pictorial device representsbands of experience arranged according to degree ofabstraction not degree of difficulty.

LEARNING THROUGH EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY

I want to say this things. Honestly, I already learned how to operate computer when I was in High School, and every time in our hands-on activity in our ICT subject last year. But now, through Educational Technology we learned a lot of things with regards to this course. Like how to create a gmail account, report what we are doing on twitter and instagram, and ofcourse how to used social networking websites like facebook.

CONCEPTUAL MODEL OF LEARNING

The learner is encouraged to recognize relevant experiences. A reward structure is set so that the learner will have both interest and confidence.

After taking this subject Educational Technology 1 and 2, it gives us better Understanding on how technology will be a part of education. And also we learned that technology equips the future teacher to become more effective and efficient inher day to day work. Aside from that, Educational Technology can help teachers and students in doing a PowerPointpresentation effectively.
