Programme designed by

A Team EDventure

This 4 day camp is about introducing the students to the natural world by participating in a range of nature based learning experiences – in a safe and fun way.

The camp is based in beautiful Sai Wan and Ham Tin in the Sai Kung East Country Park, arguably the most beautiful and pristine setting in Hong Kong.

Tai Long Wan – Sai Kung East Country Park

The camp is designed to encourage students to gain a deeper understanding of the environment and how to interact with it.

The focus is on practical activities and learning through experience.

Challenge themselves and learn to take risks.

Learn to orienteer with compos and bearings.

Learn to cook and experience what it is like to be away from civilization.

They get to understand ways of maintaining personal comfort while in the environment

They are introduced to the concept of safety and risk.

Students are encouraged to develop an awareness of self and skills to assist in working with others and are introduced to basic leadership concepts.

This camp is also about having fun in the marine environments (fresh and salt) and becoming more water wise.

The students stay in 10 man tents located directly behind the beach at Ham Tin and Sai Wan.

The children sleep on air mattress under their sleeping bags.

The tents are roomy and comfortable, situated a short walk from the toilets.

This makes it an enjoyable experience for children not used to camping under the stars.

We use a wide range of adventure experiences to engage the children in new learning experiences. These include:

Kayaking,Coastal survey Surfing, Body boarding, Canyoning, Orienteering, Camp craft, Habitat studies,Challenge courses, Climbing,Cliff jumping, Beach games & Swim

Learning to surf will teach the children about surf and water safety. All students are swim tested before any water activity is conducted.

Our staff includes experienced surf instructors and qualified lifeguards.

We spend time in a wild canyon with waterfalls and swimming pools. The students learn about safety in a mountain stream, the difference between fresh and salt water swimming and how to do

small climbs.

This adventure activity builds confidence, teamwork and a different perspective of the unique coastal formations. .

Sai Wan is a great place to learn how to control a sea kayak. We use double kayaks to allow students to share the experience with another. We will kayak to a remote beach and have students

engaged in a mini coastal survey.

Most people don’t realise that Hong Kong is the home to many types of habitats: mangroves, woodland, abandoned farmland, rocky shore and intertidal zones. Students will learn to identify unique characteristics of

different habitats and some of the creature that live there

This is about learning to look after yourself. The kids will sleep in dorm tents, will learn to cook their meals, get along with others in

a confined space and NOT listen to night sounds too closely.

The programme is designed to stretch the students physically and mentally without fear or pressure.

They will embrace the natural environment and all the wonderful experiences that can be had there.
