Section 2. Definition of Terms(a)Librarian- a bonafide holder of a

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION issued by the Board of Librarians in accordance with this act.

(b) Scope of the practice of Librarianship-Skilled in the knowledge , art and science of the organizaton, dissemination, preservation and conservation of recorded information.- rendering, furnishing, and contracting

of professional services.- Signing or authenticating for clients of documents or reports when called for.

(c) Board- refers to the Board of Librarians

the practice(f)Establish policies and standards

(g) Ensure compliance (h) Investigate violations of the Act(i) Set ethical and professional

standards for the practice of librarianship in the Philippines

(j) To discharge such other powers and duties of the board
