Twenty Five Years of Permaculture in Scotland

Great BritainIn 1953 Graham was born into the era of post war beliefFive years to the day later Nancy arrived on planet Earth

After thirty years we found a different view1 million people in Hyde Park London on a CND March

And fell into politicsJumble sales seemed like a good idea at the time

In the early 80’s we discover PermacultureGraham through these two books, and Nancy through a powerful article in Green Line Magazine

…and went on an introductory course at Glaneirw in Cardigan with Andy Langford & Jolyon Fillingham

Home made wine, home grown tobacco, free range Agas and cattle and cheese in the night…

And we decided to start a familyAnd here we all are quite af ew years later

In 1988 we moved to ColdstreamTime to stop talking about the problem and be the solution

We move to the Lees Stables

Rebuilding

With great results

And start planting

Our first garden

From little Acorns mighty oaks do grow

Sandy and Ruby 1990

Bill Mollison came to stay

When he was filming In Fear of Falling Food.

And the first Permaculture Convergence in Scotland happened
