Why?

Fun.

Possibilities – language, 3d models of weather, molecules, insects, etc., cultures, sociology, psychology, information competency.

Library instruction

And not Stanford, either.

Funding and administrative support.

Our campus, office hours, Jeff’s class.

Office hours You: you are the one who liked the wikeality video? and followed it

for your discussion, non?[17:48] Cormac Laville: Yes, that was me.[17:48] You: that was very funny.[17:48] You: i so know what you mean.[17:48] Cormac Laville: I thought it was funny[17:49] You: but I am glad you are getting something out of the

class, it is a hard balance -- don't want to be too basic, and yet[17:49] You: can't leap off tall buildings immediately.[17:49] Cormac Laville: Exactly[17:49] You: did you have any questions?[17:50] Cormac Laville: I was wondering if you saw what I wrote in

the Q&A yesterday.[17:50] You: oh no!!!! I didn't look there today. sorry.[17:50] Cormac Laville: One of the links from the discussion leads to

an incorrect audio clip[17:50] You: I meant to do it.[17:50] You: which one?[17:50] You: this is one of the biggest problems with the internet,

darn link rot.[17:50] Cormac Laville: The interview with Sergey Brin and Larry

Page. It is marked on that page correctly, but there is another file than what is listed.

[17:50] You: I thought we checked all of the links.[17:51] You: hmmmm[17:51] You: I will check it out.[17:51] You: thank you.[17:51] Cormac Laville: It's an interview with the creator of the comic

strip Boondoocks[17:51] You: the terry gross interview?[17:51] You: that might be more interesting.

Cormac Laville: Also, I was finishing up my exploration for this week, and I was wondering how much detail I should include about the actual subject, aside from the CARS points. Right now, I have a long paragraph.

You: you should be talking only about the CARS stuff.[17:59] You: you can talk about the topic, but keep it

really brief -- like this is one side of the argument and it is well stated, author is credible, etc.

Bienvenido a Segunda Vida. No importa si no te entienden.
