My name is AliciaWhittle and I am fromAtlanta, Georgia. I amcurrently a graduatestudent at KennesawState University. Thedegree I am pursuing isa Communicationdegree. This summer Ihad the opportunity todo a practicum abroadat the ZechbauCompany in Frankfurt.The practicum allowedme to learn howGermans conductbusiness andexperience a whole newculture. The biggesthighlight of my studyabroad opportunity,was serving the localchurch of Lich.

During my time at thechurch, I got to helpout the children'sprogram by assistingin rehearsals, arts andcrafts, and snack time.Also, I was able toserve the church byparticipating in thebaptism ceremonies.Furthermore, I had thechance to serve thelocal refugees eachMonday for a fewhours. We cookedmeals for them, playedgames, taught themGerman, and providedany type of servicethey needed. Lastly, Ibecame friends with anEthiopian refugee andwe are now friends onFacebook.
