Thanksgiving Day.

When did a group of people sail from England to America?

How many people were there on the ship?

What did they want?Why did they sail from England ?

In 1620, a group of people sailed from England to America.

They wanted to start a new life and practice their religion in freedom.

There were one hundred people on the ship.

What was their first winter in America?

They landed at a place on the northeast coast of America.

They called it Plymouth.

They had little food and life was hard.

They taught the newcomers how to grow corn and other plants to eat, and they gave them medicine to treat their illnesses.
