92% of Iowa’s land is devoted to Agriculture, which leads the nation

Iowa leads the nation in production of corn, soybeans, and pork and is second in the nation in production of eggs

My connection to Iowa is I have LOTS of relatives that live in Iowa. My mom’ s whole side lives in Iowa and part of my dad’s side lives in Iowa. Iowa is an interesting state. As I said before, over 90% of their land is devoted to farming. My mom grew up on a farm so she knows a lot about farming. I love all my relatives in Iowa.

Iowa is one of the few states in the nation without a professional sports team. They don’t really cheer for the professional teams that often, mainly college. Their main college teams are the University of Iowa Hawkeyes and the Iowa State University Cyclones. I personally like both but when they face off head to head I say go Hawkeyes.

Iowa has four main economy subjects:

Agriculture- Livestock and Crops are huge Manufacturing-cloth , ham, and breakfast sausages Mining-lots of limestone Services-wholesale is huge (Cars, farming machines)
