Ana Brady (Amy Adams) from Boston is a planner who stages apartments for Realtors.

Anna has been dating cardiologist, Jeremy (Adam Scott) for four years.

Anna decides to propose him in Dublin on the February 29th

Somehow, due to destiny’s plans she is forced to disembark in Dingle due to a storm.

Anna hires the unfriendly owner of the inn Declan (Matthew Goode) to drive her to Dublin.

They go on an adventure together which makes a lasting impression on both of them.

In the end, she rejects Jeremy's faux proposal and goes back to Declan who gave her the best moments in her life.

To love God is basic purpose of life, whereas the movie promotes the idea that if you don’t find the true (human) love of your life. Your life is in vain.

According to Augustine we love something about human, what is that something?

Augustinian view of human love is temporary, as the person dies the love ends too. Whereas according to the movie ‘’Leap Year’’ death and life were two realities of life which just distributed the bodies not the souls.
