Turkeys Turkeys Everywhere But Not a One to Eat!

• Our first graders pretended to be a turkey. They disguised themselves so they wouldn’t be eaten on Thanksgiving Day. Then they wrote a short story telling why they shouldn’t be eaten.

• Hi! My name is Indian Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to go to the feast and eat turkey and sweet potatoes.

• Hi! My name is Razzy the Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to perform at a tournament so I can win the gold medal. I’ll be the best at gymnastics.

• My name is Lola Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to dance at the ball tonight.

• My name is Mya. You can’t eat me because I have to go to school. You should go out for dinner.

• Hi! My name is Billy Bluejay. You can’t eat me because I have to work at a Creighton game and perform my dance. It rocks. You should come to it. It is on December 15, 2015 and on T.V. I will do a flip.

• My name is Letter Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to put a spell on kids that don’t know how to say their ABC’s and if they do I give them donuts from my Letter Wand.

• Hi! My name is Football Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to play in the Nebraska football game against Wisconsin this week. It’s going to be a hard game. If you want, you can buy a frozen turkey at Hy-Vee. Now it is time for me to warm up. Good-by.

• My name is Teddy Turkey. You can’t eat me because I am in the toy store and because I am too soft. The other toys will help me not get on the dinner table. The kids need to look at me so they can maybe buy me at the toy store. Please don’t eat me up. Do you think you will eat me up?
