Turkeys Turkeys Everywhere But Not a One to Eat!

• Our first graders pretended to be a turkey. They disguised themselves so they wouldn’t be eaten on Thanksgiving Day. Then they wrote a short story telling why they shouldn’t be eaten.

• Hi! My name is Indian Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to go to the feast and eat turkey and sweet potatoes.

Carly

• Hi! My name is Razzy the Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to perform at a tournament so I can win the gold medal. I’ll be the best at gymnastics.

Sophie

• My name is Lola Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to dance at the ball tonight.

Natalie

• My name is Mya. You can’t eat me because I have to go to school. You should go out for dinner.

Emily

• Hi! My name is Billy Bluejay. You can’t eat me because I have to work at a Creighton game and perform my dance. It rocks. You should come to it. It is on December 15, 2015 and on T.V. I will do a flip.

• Hi! My name is Fluffy Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to give kids Easter eggs.

Stephen

• My name is Leprechaun Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to go to peoples’ houses to make their toilets green.

Harper

• Hi! My name is Miss Dancer Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to dance in the recital. Have a nice time watching the people dance. Good-bye.

• Hello! My name is Gumball Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to give gumballs at Gummy, Gummy Party Place and the kids will be so happy. I also have to make my dinner, gumball soup. Everyone will be happy forever and ever.

• My name is Miss Egg. You can’t eat me because I have to go give eggs to the children on time. I don’t want to be late so good-by.

• My name is Mary the Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to help Jesus and Joseph eat some mashed potatoes instead.

• Hi! My name is Claire Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to land the backhand spring. If you do, everybody will be mad at me. Can you eat at a restaurant?

• My name is Blow-up Turkey. You can’t eat me because I will blow up in your stomach so don’t eat me!

Roman

• My name is Mr. Elf Turkey. You can’t eat me because you will freeze to death and you can’t come all the way to the North Pole!

Nora

• My name is Letter Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to put a spell on kids that don’t know how to say their ABC’s and if they do I give them donuts from my Letter Wand.

Blaise

• Hi! My name is Football Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to play in the Nebraska football game against Wisconsin this week. It’s going to be a hard game. If you want, you can buy a frozen turkey at Hy-Vee. Now it is time for me to warm up. Good-by.

• Hi! My name is Ninja Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to fight the bad guys and I won the battle. There are 20 bad guys and 2 good guys.

• My name is Dragon Warrior. You can’t eat me because I have to protect the world.

• My name is Sarah the Turkey. You can’t eat me because I am going to make dinner for my children.

• My name is Mum Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to scare people on Halloween.

• Hi! My name is Minnesota Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to play in the 2015 Arizona Super Bowl and my team can’t miss me or they are going to lose.

• Hi! My name is Lacy the Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to play a football game and play the Patriots. I have to go to a Super Bowl.

• Hi! My name is Lone Ranger Turkey. You can’t eat me because I have to protect my friends.

Sean

• My name is Kenny Turkey. You can’t eat me because I haven’t won the national game. Go out for dinner.

Caroline

• My name is Teddy Turkey. You can’t eat me because I am in the toy store and because I am too soft. The other toys will help me not get on the dinner table. The kids need to look at me so they can maybe buy me at the toy store. Please don’t eat me up. Do you think you will eat me up?
