An outdoor orientation

experience designed to

ease first year students’

transition into the UD

community and their

college experience.

As part of the First Year Experience (FYE), this

outdoor excursion provides students the unique opportunity to connect with their new classmates in a fun and

challenging environment, allowing them to learn more about themselves

and to develop the confidence and skills they

need to successfully navigate their first year at

QuestProvides first year students with the opportunity to

explore leadership possibilities on campus and in the community, to serve others, and to eventually transform

themselves and their community.

This four-day experience includes

keynote speakers, workshops,

community service, outdoor activities

including a ropes course and time for

reflection and bonding as a group.

Multi-Ethnic Career Development

Parents Fund

Supports the professional development interests of

students from diverse backgrounds through a one-day conference that includes introductions to employers

interested in hiring students for summer jobs, internships and full-time positions as well as networking opportunities

with UD alumni.

Blue Hen Careers: Career Fair Module

Parents Fund

Provides all UD students with web-based access to the

700+ employers who participate in one or more of the 10 career fairs hosted by UD’s Career Services Center.

College of Arts and Sciences Career Fair

Parents Fund

Engages students enrolled in the College of Arts &

Sciences in a career/networking fair.

(Participating employers target College of Arts &

Sciences majors and typically do not attend

career fairs due to budget limitations.)
