Why ICT?•Imaginative•Creative•Teaching

•ICT can improve the quality of teaching, learning and management in schools and so help raise standards. (Teachernet)

•BUT........

•Is it effective?

•Does it really help motivation?

•Can it raise standards?

With the right ICT...

•There will be an increase in motivation

•Weaker students can be encouraged to speak publicly without feeling embarrassed.

•Students can effectively peer assess each others work both in school and at home.

•You can make homework interesting and fun whilst also being a learning experience.

You may have seen some of these resources before......

You may have seen nothing from here before.....

It’s a little snapshot into what I’ve taught myself in the last couple of years!

Every resource here is free! (though sometimes you may need to register)

Every resource here is quick and relatively easy for you and the students to use.

This little cat is called ‘Talking Tom’. It is a free app for your iphone.

He will repeat whatever you say! You can record a small video (max 45 secs)

You can then e mail the video to yourself to play in class.
