Saritsa Foundation in partnership with Nauka Talim Kendra- MONTERS conducted a workshop for 5th SRP Battalion at District Nadiad, Gujarat on 18th February 2013. The workshop was conducted  to build capacity of police personnel for earthquake, flood, cyclone, terrorism, Bomb blast and Chemical , Biological and Nuclear Hazards. Education and training was conducted using inter-active and participatory methodology away from lecture/teacher centered to learner centered linking and recognizing importance of RIGHT TO LIFE SECURITY  duty of every person. The participants were actively engaged and involved throughout the workshop .They were guided to mind map vulnerabilities to their areas an d evolve insight and understanding to draw an action plan to protect  in disasters. They were made to use local resources to respond to disasters during demonstrations and mock drills. The final session was  designed to assess  impacts of learning to make workable plans to respond to live scenarios .Some of the photos are given in succeeding slides
