What is the flex screen?

Flex LED screen is a rubber‐based, magnetic led video tile, with very unique features of Convex, Concave, even twisted and shaped to creative curved and waved LED applications .

When design a project with flex led tiles, 3 factors must be considered :

1. Flex tiles are with magnets as its primary mounting . If needed, Screws are available for the mounting as well .
2. Any structure or stand must be made of steel or the compatible material .
3. There is no limited way to make creative LED screens with Flexible led tiles .

Below example is 1.2mm metal sheet, which was laser cut to allow flex led tiles mounted on the front and power and data cables were running back side of structure .

Below example is 1.2mm metal sheet, which was with metal strip to fix on the front of desk to allow flex led tiles mounted on the front and power and data cables were running between the metal strip and front desk surface.

Below example is 1.2mm metal sheet, which was made a few panels and connected together to be a circle. Flex led tiles mounted on the outside and inside structure , and power and data cables were running in the middle of structure .

1. New flex led screens has DC5V and DC24V compatible for its power feed .
2. Upon to the project needs, led tiles will be produced either DC 5V or DC 24V .
3. If there is no space for Power supply, DC24V will be a good choice for power for long distance supply .

Fanless Power supply was designed backside of screen in a box hooked for keep power supply unit front access in case there is something happened .

To keep the screen very slim and good shaped , power supply unit were put in the round disk on the ceiling and make all the power cables as a bundle very clean .

1. Flexible led screen was divided by a few data zones controlled by data controller .
2. Data controller is a separate box to control flex led tiles, with 6/8 data‐outputs , each output feeds 10 tiles horizontal and 6/8 tiles vertical, total 60/80 tiles. (this maybe changed up to resolutions and project demands.)
3. Data controller is put away the screen within 1 meter to keep signal stable .

To enable the whole system to work with data system , it needs power. Data and power system are separate .
