This type of shot is very common when two people (characters) are
having a discussion and will usually follow on establishing shot which
helps the audience place the characters in their setting. It is an
example of a camera angle.

When you Filming a conversation between to people, its often a good idea to use over should shot.
2ways to do this:
Film the person speaking, or the person who is reacting to what is being said.
OR…Do the same thing with medium shot,but by shooting in a way where part of the person who is being spoken to is in the frame.

-One character is shown looking at another character and then the other character is shown looking back at the first character.
-Since the characters are shown facing in opposite directions, the viewer assumes that they are looking at each other.
