Reading Rocks is a reading fluency project using Voice memo on the ipod touches. Students record themselves reading for 1 minute each day and playback to assess themselves for fluency

Open the Voice Memo App

Plug in the microphone

Click record and begin reading

Step 4:
Click pause when you are done reading. Remove the microphone.

Step 5:
Click this button to listen to your recording with your headset

Step 6:
Press the play button and your recording will play back. (You may need to turn up the ipod volume on the side of the ipod)

Step 7:
Select the arrow to re-name your recording

Step 8:
Say to yourself, “Reading Rocks!”

Step 9:
Choose “Custom” to re-name your recording

Step 10:
Name your recording:
• Teacher name• Ipod #• Your first name
Click Done

Share your recording with your teacher or parent!
