THRILLER: OPENING SEQUENCES

In this sequence they have decided to follow the string using panning. This creates a sense of unknowing to the viewer so it makes the want to continue watching the movie.

with the text

aswell and left the

text behind and

moved onto the

next one. This

created a sense of

anxiety for the

audience as the

sequence wants to

keep moving on.

he close up shot

turns quickly to a

wide shot to

show the scene

and environment

that he is living

in. Also the

artificial lighting

effect works well.

City life is represented by the fast pace editing, This then contrasts with the tranquil country side we are about to see.

The slow pace is of the country side is portrayed through the slow pace of the editing. Also the quite sounds replicate the tranquillity.

The sudden scary addition to the frame makes the audience scared and make them want to continue watching because the wonder why the man is there.

First frame is all shot in slow motion to create artistic effect.

The over the top shot is used to show dynamic camera use.

The last frame is in complete contrast to the rest of the opening sequence. It does this to persuade the audience to continue watching and find out what the link is.
